The Snow Won

I was planning on writing a post tonight talking about the just completed Men's Retreat. I was going to talk about the great turnout we had, mention all of the fun things that we did. Talk about some of the funny stories that were shared. Reflect on the time that we spent with God while at Camp. I guess I will have to save that post for another time. To say that I was disappointed that we had to postpone the Men's retreat would be an understatement. I had been looking forward to this weekend for several months, and I know that I wasn't the only one. There were several guys who were planning on making it out for the weekend, but I know that there were many others who for one reason or another weren't going to be able to come. So this snow storm may end up being a blessing in disguise. When the new date is picked, hopefully men who couldn't come this weekend will be able to come.

Even though the retreat was postponed, I was able to play some dominos last night with some of my friends from Camp. It always amazes me how much I enjoy being around other Deer Runners. I love everything about being around other Deer Runners. I know that I'm not the only one who feels this way. If you are on the fence about attending either the Men's Retreat or the Women's Retreat, I challenge you to think about your memories with other Deer Runners, and think about the wonderful time you have had in the past with people from Camp. If you come out to Camp for one of the Retreats, then you will be surrounded with people like you, people who love the Lord, and love spending time fellowshipping with other Christians. Come spend a weekend at Camp and enjoy an experience that you may not have had since the last time you were at Camp. You will not regret attending.

I don't know when the Men's Retreat will be rescheduled, but as soon as I do I will make sure to update everyone. I hope that everyone has a wonderful week, and that God blesses you in all that you do.

Hail, Dear Ol' Deer Run,
Sparky
